The Environmental Science and Policy Programs at UMD and Montgomery College are co-hosting the event “The Faces of Environmental Science”.  The panel will feature three young professionals in very different environmental fields to share their journeys on what they do and how they got there. The event will be on Wednesday, April 17 from 4:30-5:30PM on   Zoom .

Earthfest is happening on  April 19th from 11 AM to 3 PM ET on Mckeldin Mall. A Career Expo is happening from 12 PM to 2:30 PM ET on April 19th as well. Education and Visitor Services intern- Antietam National Battlefield

  Our   Education and Visitor Services   intern  will help create and give educational programming to visitors of Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD. We are seeking candidates   commutable to park headquarters   and available to serve  a year-long term.  The   $800/week  internship has a flexible start in June or July and will run for a year. T herefore, we are ideally looking for a recent grad or alumni . After completing the internship, the member will be eligible for an   AmeriCorps Segal Education award  to pay back federal loans and use for future education. Applications are open for DOE’s Clean Energy Innovator Fellowship

  The U.S. Department of Energy is seeking recent graduates and energy professionals with a demonstrated interest in the clean energy transition to apply for the  Clean Energy Innovator Fellowship .  Fellows selected for this exciting program will spend up to two years supporting clean energy and grid resilience projects at host institutions, which include electric cooperatives, grid operators, municipal utilities, public utility commissions, state energy offices, and Tribal entities.  A competitive stipend is provided to support Fellows’ participation. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in clean energy solutions, and those with diverse  backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.  More information and a link to the application can be found  here . Join the UMD Golf Course 2024 BioBlitz

    A BioBlitz is a 24-hour period when each species is recorded and documented. Documentation gathered from ENST462 students, faculty, staff, and volunteers will be submitted by UMD's Golf Course again this year in the   Audubon International BioBlitz . Last year was our first year to compete and we came in   1st and 3rd!  This year we hope to recruit more volunteers and win another contest.
